Cookie policy

Which cookies ReelsAudio sets, why, what each category does, and how to change your choice at any time.

01

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use local storage and similar browser storage, which serve the same purpose and are covered by this policy.

02

Categories we use

Strictly necessary
Session security, keeping you signed in, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off because the site would not function. No consent required.
Analytics
Aggregated page views and feature usage so we know which pages work. Off by default until you accept.
Preferences
Remembering settings such as your last selected voice or billing cycle. Off by default until you accept.
Marketing
Measuring how we advertise and whether a campaign caused a signup. Off by default until you accept.
03

What we actually set today

ReelsAudio is in private beta and currently sets only strictly necessary cookies plus one local-storage entry holding your consent choice. Analytics and marketing tags are wired but remain disabled until you opt in, so declining changes nothing about how the site behaves for you.

reelsaudio_session
Session cookie. Keeps you signed in. Expires when the session ends.
reelsaudio_csrf
Security token that prevents cross-site form submission. Expires in 12 hours.
reelsaudio_consent
Local storage. Records your consent choice so we stop asking. Expires after 12 months.
04

Your choices

You can accept all categories, reject everything non-essential, or pick individual categories from the consent banner. Your choice is stored for 12 months and you can change it at any time.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and publishing from working.

05

Third parties

If you accept analytics or marketing, the providers listed below may set their own cookies. Each is subject to its own policy, and we list them here so the disclosure is complete rather than hidden behind a link.

Error monitoring
Crash and performance reporting. Analytics category.
Product analytics
Aggregated feature usage. Analytics category.
Advertising platforms
Campaign measurement. Marketing category.
06

Do Not Track

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected for non-essential categories. Because our banner already defaults them off, a DNT or GPC signal simply keeps them off without showing the prompt.

Questions

For anything about cookies or consent, email [email protected]. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
